KEEGAN UPDATE : SIX WEEKS ON : 17 MAY 2009
Keegan continued along the road of ’waking up’ with further movement and apparent reaction to voices. Doctors predict that he might walk out of hospital within six months.
On Friday he underwent a procedure to insert a ‘shunt’; this is a pipe that allows excess fluid from the brain to drain down inside the body to the stomach cavity. It is a permanent fixture, and in due course will not inhibit Keegan in any way from an active life-style.
He was clearly uncomfortable after this operation, which although unpleasant for his parents to witness, is a further indication that he is regaining his faculties.
Contributions to the Trust continue to be received, and further events are planned to raise the larger sums that are required to keep abreast of expenses. These include the involvement of international sporting icons in both Harare and Bulawayo within the next month, details of which will be published shortly.
Once again, the Langley family and the Trustees extend their gratitude to all who have been so supportive; please continue to pray for Keegan’s full recovery.
UNTIL NEXT WEEK…….
