KEEGAN UPDATE : 24 WEEKS ON : 16 SEPT  2009

NOW ALMOST 24 WEEKS DOWN THIS LONG ROAD………

But real progress has been noted since the last update.

Here are some extracts from what Keegan’s father wrote this week when he saw his son for the first time in three weeks:

• Very pleased to say there is only good news

•  Confident some pretty big strides have been made in the past few weeks

• Responds a lot more quickly to verbal commands and prompts

• Eyes are searching, reaching, scanning, trying to see and focus

• Developed more sounds which are fairly easily interpreted to indicate pain, discomfort, anger

• Smiles, frowns etc all happening so much more frequently

• Putting on weight fast

• Lip closure greatly improved

• Left arm improving, right arm almost back to normal

• We are all pretty excited

So there you have it. This is fantastic news.
